Tech Tip of the Day: Use Back Tap to Control Your iPhone

Need to take a screenshot fast? Or turn on your flashlight without fumbling through menus? Your iPhone has a built-in feature called Back Tap — and once you use it, you'll wonder how you lived without it.

Back Tap lets you assign actions to a double-tap or triple-tap on the back of your phone. It feels like a secret button built just for you.

How to Set It Up:

  1. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap

  2. Choose Double Tap or Triple Tap

  3. Pick what you want it to do:

    • Take a screenshot

    • Lock the screen

    • Turn on flashlight

    • Open Control Center

    • Launch an app or shortcut

    • Scroll up/down

Now, just tap the back of your iPhone — and the magic happens.

🧠 Bonus Tip: Combine it with Shortcuts to open notes, turn on Focus mode, or even text someone with a single tap.

It’s one of those features that makes your iPhone feel smarter — and makes your day a little smoother.
