⚠️ Tech Tip of the Day: Your Kitchen is a Warzone—for Your Gadgets

Your air fryer isn’t trying to sabotage your productivity—but it might be doing it anyway.

Here’s how everyday kitchen appliances can silently wreak havoc on your devices:

🥴 Microwave Mayhem

Microwaves operate at 2.4GHz—the same frequency as many Wi-Fi networks. If your Zoom call crashes every time you warm up leftovers, that’s no coincidence.

🧊 Fridge Vibration Vibes

That subtle hum or shake from your refrigerator can disrupt nearby hard drives or smart speakers, especially if they’re placed directly on or near it.

🔌 Blender Buzzkill

Blenders and food processors create electromagnetic interference. If you keep a laptop nearby on the kitchen counter, expect glitches or ghost touches.

🌫️ Steam & Grease = Slow Death

Steam from stovetops or air fryers can condense inside your ports or speakers, and airborne grease can settle on screens and keyboards. Not great.

💡 What To Do:

  • Keep tech at least 3 feet away from cooking appliances

  • Use the 5GHz Wi-Fi band when possible

  • Wipe down screens and keyboards if they’ve been near food or steam

  • Don’t store phones or tablets near blenders, toasters, or ovens

The kitchen is for food—not files. Protect your tech and stay connected.
